Ray Romano introduces first look at David Letterman – CBS special (video)

Late Show -Monday night at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, CBS is going to be doing something a little bit different than airing an episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Instead, they will be putting on a 90-minute special entitled “David Letterman: A Life in Television,” which is going to chronicle almost everything over the course of his past 30+ years in the industry.

In the new video below (first posted by The Hollywood Reporter), you can get at least a little bit of a taste of what is to come on the show, which is going to contain a variety of highlights from the entirety of Dave’s career. First and foremost, we love that CBS did get some “Late Night” clips from when he was back at NBC, since that was when he was in his heyday for many. The older version of Dave’s show was zany, fast-paced, and much different than what it is now.

Even with that, there is still quite a bit to love when it comes to Letterman’s show today. He is still one of the best interviewers on late-night TV, and we also still like it whenever he interacts with the audience or Stupid Pet Tricks. This, coupled with the Top 10 List, are two of his most iconic segments.

This video is also proof that CBS will feature some of Dave’s interviews with popular guest Bill Murray, and at the same time also that famous moment with Drew Berrymore. There are many more who will probably be appearing who were not even present here.
