‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 21 video: Show boss on ‘Al Sah-Him’ battle

Arrow -Every episode of “Arrow” tends to have at least one major villain in it. However, for the most part in these episodes the villain is not Oliver Queen.

First of all, let’s start here by talking time. We imagine that there has to at least be a reasonable time jump between the events of “The Fallen” and this installment Wednesday, mostly because Oliver seems to have moved further away from his past in order to assume his new identity as Al Sah-Him. It may not be an identity that he necessarily wanted, but it is one that he ultimately may have to now embrace as a means of protecting Thea and everyone else that he loves.

In the video below, executive producer Marc Guggenheim describes this new Oliver as a villain in many ways, and suggests that he comes back to Starling City with a specific goal: Seemingly, to take down Nyssa once and for all so that he can eliminate any threats to the title of Heir to the Demon. We’re obviously very worried about Nyssa in this episode. She is the outlier, and a mar that may need to be eliminated so that Oliver can properly move forward.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team will still be struggling through a grieving process in their own way, trying to figure out just how in the world they can continue their operation now. This is a little different than when they thought Oliver was dead. They know that he is still alive, but they also have less firepower now with Roy gone. Sure, Ray and Laurel are each more trained than they were before, but compared to Roy they don’t have the same sort of street experience.
