‘Arrow’ season 3: Katie Cassidy’s Black Canary takes center stage in new poster

If you have seen the recent Superhero Fight Club trailer for “Arrow” and “The Flash,” then you know that The CW has already set up a bizarre alternate-reality to feature some of their characters in awesome fashion.

Now, they are doing so again when it comes to poster artwork. If you look below, you can see a new poster tweeted out featuring the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) in the middle of a battle while Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) watches on. Pretty epic stuff, no? It’s definitely the flashiest poster that we have seen featuring Laurel, who spent the first two years of the show preparing to eventually become this character.

So what will be coming up for Laurel the rest of “Arrow” season 3? The biggest thing that we can tease is that her new-found friendship with Nyssa al Ghul will be tested, as she becomes a target of the League of Assassins now that Oliver Queen has been transformed into the Heir to the Demon. She has to figure out whether or not she can help her in any way, and whether or not her training is enough for her to be a competent hero. Despite having one of the best trainers out there, you have to remember that mere months ago she was still a prosecutor and nothing more. The idea of being a canary was only thought about because of Sara’s jacket.

We’ll definitely have more on Laurel as we get closer and closer to the end of the season, so be on the lookout for more of that soon!
