‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: Choices ahead for Chloe Bennet’s Skye

As we get closer and closer to the end of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” season 2, there will be many characters making key decisions. Can you really be surprised that Chloe Bennet’s Skye is at the center of some of them? You really should not be. This is a woman who has been trained in part by Gordon and Lincoln as of late, but she also still has some affection to Coulson and the team over at SHIELD. It is really not a whole lot of an understatement to say that she is going to be a woman with some torn loyalty as we get closer to the end of the season.

Specifically, you will see a heck of a lot of that play out on “Scars,” the upcoming May 5 episode of the show. ABC recently released the synopsis for the hour, and it gives you a good sense of what we are talking about here:

“Skye is torn between her loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D. and her connection to the Inhumans as tensions rise between the groups — and Coulson reveals a secret he’s been hiding from even those closest to him.”

Coulson’s secret could ultimately be the most damaging part of the story. After all, you have to remember here that this is a man who has already kept secrets, and has seen his organization on the fringe of falling apart due to possible defects over to the Real SHIELD. The more problems that he faces here when it comes to loyalty, the more complicated his situation could become as we near the finale.
