‘American Idol XIV’ results: Was Rayvon Owen or Quentin Alexander eliminated by Twitter ‘save’?

American Idol -Tonight, we had the final round of voting on Twitter to eliminate an “American Idol” contestant, and it feels pretty darn easy to be able to rejoice that it’s over. After all, we really were tired of having it come down to who is bothering to go on social media, since that marginalizes and takes away all the hard work the people put into voting before that.

Tonight, the decision for the public (or at least the ones connected on social media) was between Quentin Alexander and Rayvon Owen, and we have quite a few bones to pick with that. Let’s see, where do we begin? Let’s start with the fact that Ryan Seacrest seemed to be very much favoring Rayvon in some of his comments tonight, which was completely unfair to Quentin since the host should be impartial.

Also, of course there is the whole incident in regards to Harry Connick Jr., and that is something that almost definitely cannot be forgotten about at this point. We’re talking after all about something that made national headlines, and probably turned off a few people from voting for him just because they don’t like drama.

In the end, all of this managed to yet again make Rayvon the king of the Twitter save. We’re not entirely sure how he has pulled this off, but he has made it to the tour! Man, did Quentin ever have a good run, even if we are calling a little bit of shenanigans on the way the elimination happened. He still has the style and the passion for a great career, and we are really going to miss watching him on the show.
