‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 19 preview: On Caroline, Stefan’s struggle in ‘Because’

Take a look -If you are hoping for some genuine moments between Caroline and Elena before Nina Dobrev leaves “The Vampire Diaries,” you better hope to see some of these moments on Thursday night’s new episode of the CW series entitled “Because.” After all, it’s not exactly like there are a whole lot of episodes left for the dynamics between these characters to change. There are only four more installments this season, and Caroline’s humanity is still in the “off” position going into this installment.

What we learn in the video below, via executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries, is a chance to understand more of what the plan is to bring Caroline back to normal. Let’s just say that it involves Stefan heavily. While his mother Lily has already brought him back, he is going to pretend otherwise while he and Candice Accola’s character are locked within captivity. In turn, Caroline’s going to get really grumpy while Damon and Elena work to push a variety of old memories in her face. You know, things like decade dances, romances, and the few happy times that these people had when they weren’t constantly about to get killed.

Will this work? Maybe, but at the same time Damon and Elena are running a great risk. Caroline’s angry, and part of that anger will manifest in her trying to expose the insecurities that Elena has. Translation: This could spell major doom for Delena down the road. By the end of the episode, we should have a good idea of what the next move for Stefan really should be.
