‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Are we losing someone during finale?

Is there a major character death in store for the end of “Once Upon a Time” season 4? Based on what we are hearing at this very moment, it definitely seems like this very thing could be taking place.

According to a new report coming in from TV Guide, the end of the season could feature one important character being “gone forever,” or at least to the extent that a character on this series can be gone. Maybe this means that they are dead in the present, and could appear only in flashbacks the rest of the way.

What we will say at the moment is that the main character we are most worried about here is Rumpelstiltskin, given that there have been times this season where it has felt like he has gone so far evil that he cannot possibly be redeemed at this point. However, at the same time there is a rather hefty contingent of people out there rooting for him to end up with Belle in the end, and this is something that may still happen … and just may take a little bit of time to get him back to that point that they can be together and make it work.

What we know right now is that Rumple has almost lost every trace of good in his heart; honestly, it feels almost like him leaving would be too predictable at this point. If someone does go, we feel like it would be more one of the supporting periphery characters we’ve come to know over the years.
