‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 19 video: Megan Boone, James Spader mystery highlights ‘Leonard Caul’ promo

While there may not be a new episode of “The Blacklist” on NBC tonight (which you may know by now), the network was at least nice enough to present us with another gift tonight: The first promo for the show’s return next week entitled “Leonard Caul.”

What is the major theme for this story? It seems fairly simple: Trying to figure out whether or not Reddington will survive, and also where this mystery goes from here. As we have learned time and time again, Liz Keen and Red have a tense relationship, and some of the things that he has done to her over the years is the big reason why. One of the biggest issues of all stems from Reddington admitting that he hired Tom, and was really the one who set up the terrible chain of events leading to “Lizzie’s” life being in peril. Does the shooting change her mind?

In the promo below, you can see Megan Boone’s character almost begging her ex-husband to help solve this current crisis, and it also hypes up plenty of action at the same time. There are not exactly any answers in here, but we would not be too concerned about that for now.

Instead, what we’d be more concerned about for NBC is what happens to the show’s ratings after this hiatus. It has dropped on this new night, and it is likely made worse by the fact that “Scandal” is a pretty darn major competitor in the numbers. That’s going to continue for many weeks now.
