‘Gotham’ episode 19 preview: The trials of Bruce Wayne

Gotham -Gotham” is almost back on the air! We’ve waited a long time to say that, but we are finally able to now. Monday night’s new episode is a chance to either introduce or bring in a number of important stories, whether we are talking about the likes of the Ogre, or what is currently going on at the moment with Bruce Wayne and Alfred. this is a very different sort of dynamic than what we’ve seen of the character in the past, which is what makes him such a prime subject for discussion in all of our sneak peeks below.

1. Bruce speaks with Selina – Determined to take the Alfred investigation into his own hands, Bruce decides to pay a visit to his old frenemy out on the streets of Gotham. What does he get in terms of information? Not much. Instead, he just gets a few reminders that he really should consider getting out more than he does. Bruce has book-smarts, and Selina has street-smarts. It is a simple dynamic that really defines the two.

2. Gordon questions Bruce – Why did Bruce lie to Jim over what happened to Alfred? This is a complicated question, and when you remember that, it really should not come as much of a shock that there is no way answer. Piecing together the truth here is going to be no easy task for Jim, and it could dominate some of his attention.

Unfortunately, we still don’t think this is a particularly strong preview. It is hard to feel that way when we have all seen different variations on “Bruce, be careful” for a rather long time now. Personally, we always fancy getting a chance to see something different.
