‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 spoilers: Anthony Tyler Quinn returning!

Girl Meets World -For its second season, it seems that “Girl Meets World” and its staff is really trying to amp up on the nostalgia. We already knew that we’d be seeing more of Eric Matthews and Angela Moore, and we now have confirmation more or less that Anthony Tyler Quinn is also coming back as Mr. Turner, who was a valuable part of the show’s early days as the main teacher. He also had many a memorable scene with Shawn Hunter.

The show’s writing staff confirmed the return of Mr. Turner via Twitter (see below), and also confirmed an episode title in “Girl Meets the New Teacher.” Does that mean that Cory is going to face some surprising competition for teaching his own daughter? We’re not ruling it out, but sooner or later Riley is going to need some other educators to mix things up, anyway. We always felt that one of the mistakes in the first season is that with Cory as Riley’s teacher, everything was a little too neat and tied together story-wise.

In general, we hope that adding more of a “Boy Meets World” feel to season 2 will let the show grow and evolve a little, and become more of a real hybrid of the original and the Disney Channel show’s first season, which felt a little too much like it was for children than diehard fans of the original. We understand the need to get the kids on board, but now that they are, how about making sure devoted fans stick with the show?

The second season of “Girl Meets World” should air a little later this year on the network, and you can get some further news on the subject of it here.
