‘The Bachelor’: Would Josh Murray star after Andi Dorfman split?

Josh and Andi -While ABC is currently casting the upcoming season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” is it too early to start thinking about the new season of “The Bachelor“? Probably, but we’re going to do it anyway, mostly because it’s too much fun!

In reality, the star of the next season is almost certainly going to be a guy from this Kaitlyn Bristowe / Britt Nilsson season, given that this has been the tradition almost every time. Brad Womack was the last man cast who was not from the “Bachelorette” season before him, though Sean Lowe did claim recently that Arie Luyendyk Jr. was originally supposed to the Bachelor last season before Chris Soules did a stealth farmer attack on him at the last second for the spot.

With this information in mind, don’t expect Josh Murray to be the next leading man, even if he does claim that he would be up for it. Just take a look at some of his latest comments per E! News:

“If I had the chance to be the Bachelor then I would think about it … But there’s no other way I’d go on [the Bachelorette]. It was a great experience, but I did that already and I’m kind of moving on from that specific part of my life.”

Murray did say that he was still friends with Dorfman, and that the relationship didn’t work out because the two had too many fundamental differences between each other. This was the closest that Murray has come to making a public comment about the split; for some reason, he was not present for that uber-emotional interview that Andi gave to Chris Harrison on the show earlier this year.

As for Josh as the Bachelor, we’d say no bueno. We prefer newer or fresher faces, or at least someone who has not become engaged on the show already. Also, we’ve already seen the former athlete-type plenty. We will forever be throwing our hat in the ring for Marquel as the “Bachelor” but we suspect that won’t happen as much as we want to see the cookie man lead the show.
