‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Sheldon, Leonard’s Skywalker Ranch plan

It’s a good thing that there is so much material within the world of geek culture; otherwise, it’s possible that we may have seen a story about Skywalker Ranch on “The Big Bang Theory” at some point before now. At least one storyline on the show’s upcoming April 2 return to the air is going to revolve around Sheldon and Leonard actually trying to sneak their way onto the famed property. We really cannot envision it working out very well for them at all, but we still are not that shocked about them putting forth the effort.

The title for this big episode is ““The Skywalker Incursion,” which seems about right given the story that we’re about to see. As a bonus, the synopsis below also teases a little bit of “Doctor Who” fun at the same time:

“When Leonard and Sheldon are invited to speak at UC Berkeley, they take a detour to try to meet an idol. Also, when Bernadette and Howard battle over the fate of his Dr. Who TARDIS, Raj and Amy offer to settle the dispute with a game of ping pong.”

Ultimately, we anticipate this story being a pretty great one, mostly because it has both “Star Wars” and “Doctor Who” incorporated into it at the same time. It’s really hard to go wrong with that combination … though ping pong at the same time really does not hurt a whole lot.

The one thing that does hurt? Having to sit through weeks of the NCAA Tournament in order for this to air.
