ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: First details on Ryan-centric episode
Love the Ryan character on “Castle“? Then “At Close Range” airing a little bit later this month could be right up your alley. It’s your chance to see more of Seamus Dever’s character in action, though not entirely in a story that will keep him out of the line of fire.
You’ve probably heard a little bit of information about this story already, including that Ryan has done some private security work as of late when off-duty as a detective. Who would’ve thought he would be in a situation more dangerous here than he’s often in during his day job? The short synopsis below, via SpoilerTV, offers you up some insight:
“Ryan ends up in the middle of an assassination plot while on the security detail of a congressman.”
We do feel like Ryan will make it through this all right, but hopefully in the process we get some updates on his family, and his life away from the precinct. This is something that we often do not get away from the Ryan-specific episodes, much as we don’t often learn a lot about Esposito except for when the case of the week revolves around him.
It feels like there’s always a Ryan episode around this time, and we’re happy to have it here. It’s a good spot in that he’s not forced to deal with some other huge plot, and there is still time afterwards to give you a few more episodes to set up the endgame of the season. There are 23 episodes this season, which means that there will be five more left after this one airs.
There is no new episode of “Castle” on tonight, but you can head over here to get some further details on “Hong Kong Hustle,” which airs on ABC next week. Also, sign up now to get some other TV updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
