‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 7 review: Lemon’s mother; George and AnnaBeth; Wade’s flirting

Dixie -Hart of Dixie” is typically a light, funny show, but we’d be lying if we said that tonight’s new episode was devoid of emotion. There was actually plenty of that tonight during “The Butterstick Tab,” and most of ti revolved around the Breeland family.

After spending so many years without a mom in her life after she ran away, Alice played a prominent role tonight after meeting up with Brick. Clearly, Lemon has zero interest in being around her, but the twist here was that she had a daughter. Basically, Lemon learned that she has a much younger half-sister, and this changes things dramatically for her. She eventually ended up revealing to this kid accidentally how terrible her mother is, and out of remorse, she paid a special visit to her in order to talk with her and bond. Apparently, this did work out, though Lemon is still not on great terms with her mom.

Elsewhere, George and AnnaBeth started to actually get closer tonight, and even had their first kiss after a disastrous first date at a Norwegian restaurant. This is finally moving forward! The same for Zoe and Wade as they’ve passed yet another roadblock here: Wade’s serial flirting. He almost shot himself in the foot big-time when it comes to getting the ladies to steer clear of him.

Overall, we really enjoyed this one thanks to the sweet Lemon / Lavon moments, other couples getting closer, and for finding out something new about Lemon. After so many years on the show, it is nice to see new things. Grade: B+.
