‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 8 video: Does Daphne have a date?

Romance can begin sometimes from the most random of places, which is precisely what we seem to get out of the new sneak peek from Tuesday night’s new “Switched at Birth” episode. This one does not exactly contain the largest array of story scoop, other than telling us that it is very well possible that Daphne’s romantic life may be heating up sooner rather than later.

In this video, a casual conversation for her and Mingo actually ends up turning somewhat more romantic … or at least however romantic something can be when you are asked if you want to “hang out.” Seriously? Is this what the code for romance has slowly devolved into over time? This is completely hokey, and yet it does seem to work for him.

As for whether or not there is potential here, Mingo doesn’t seem like a terrible person. However, many Daphne love interests have come and gone, so we’re not going to get altogether confident about this one until they actually start to spend time together on a regular basis.

Also, there are still some issues in the past that Daphne needs to deal with. While there’s really no turning back on what happened with her and Bay at the end of last season, that does still haunt her. How could it not?

We are getting closer to the end of the first half of this season, and with that in mind, we do anticipate there being at least a few major surprises happening before it is over. Stay tuned for more!
