ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Emily Thorne is back in the sunshine

We’ve seen plenty of Emily Thorne suffering and going through one struggle after another on “Revenge” season 4, but are we starting to see her actually emerge into a newer, happier era? On the surface, it may appear that way.

After all, the attached photo here from the show’s March 8 return entitled “Bait” actually features Emily out in the daytime for a change, taking in a conversation with new boyfriend (do we call him that?) Ben while in the middle of a workout regimen. These appear to be things that normal people actually do, and are hardly the actions of someone known for takedowns or doing other sometimes-violent acts. On the surface, it does appear like she has a slightly better reason to breathe easy. Malcolm Black is gone, Nolan and Louise have worked things out, and she is getting more comfortable with being herself.

However, remember here that in the world of “Revenge,” nothing ever stays comfortable for long. More than likely, there is some trouble brewing underneath the surface here that could come back to bite her. Our guess? Remember Margaux is still convinced that she is responsible for Daniel’s death, and will do anything to destroy her.

On a more romantic note, don’t expect too much stability here for Emily given that Jack clearly still has feelings for her, and is getting closer and closer to expressing them. The cliffhanger at the end of the most-recent episode proved that and then some.
