‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Lea Michele, Chris Colfer look to the past

Ready to jump into a time machine on “Glee“? Well, before season 6 comes to a close, you are going to have a chance to see the cast and crew jump back to a very different era.

For the upcoming February 27 episode entitled “2009,” the show is going to head all the way back to the very first episode, to learn a little bit more about why so many of the original members of New Directions decided that they even wanted to be in this club in the first place. there are obviously many other options and opportunities for these people in high school, so there was nothing forcing them to give this a go. Yet, they still decided to try it. Take a look at the (very) short synopsis below:

“GLEE goes back in time to see why the original members of New Directions signed up for glee club in the first place.”

This episode feels like it will be fairly emotional, and that is always good. With that being said, though, is there really any real reason why we actually needed to have this episode? Think about that for a minute. We already know why so many of these people signed up for the glee club, and it feels almost even more awkward to do something like this without having Finn as a part of it.

Maybe this episode will surprise us, but we only imagine things getting more and more nostalgic as we near the end of the series.
