‘Saturday Night Live’: 40th Anniversary Special coming Sunday, February 15

More news -Tonight’s edition of “Saturday Night Live” was hosted by J.K. Simmons, and going into it, we wondered whether or not he was going to be the sort of name to actually convince people to watch the show. While we’re a fan, that does not mean that everyone else out there potentially watching is. The show still had its work cut out for it.

Well, what is coming up is no ordinary show in the slightest. Instead, we’re looking at the 40th anniversary special airing on Sunday, February 15. This is clearly going to be different from your ordinary episode of the series, and for good reason. It is a celebration of the past four decades of comedy. This is one of the most influential series in the history of television, and that means that the possibilities are endless when it comes to potentially-returning cast members.

For now, we can at least say that Eddie Murphy will be back, but he is sure to be far from the only person. We’d anticipate an appearance from Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey. Otherwise, we’ll be terribly depressed. There are all people who we’ve come to know very well over the years thanks to this show, and they have all represented a generation of the show in a different way.

Still, there are many details that are still to be announced about this show, so it’s hard to speculate a whole lot about it right now. We’re going to have more news as it starts to come out.
