‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Claudia Jordan on Kordell Stewart relationship

Typically, this article is the spot where we would start to preview a little bit of what is coming up on the next “Real Housewives of Atlanta” episode. Unfortunately, we are facing at the moment a pretty major problem: There is no new episode on Sunday night. Blame Super Bowl Sunday for completely taking the air out of the tires of pretty much everything else on TV.

So with that, why not take a minute to address another major storyline on the show? Let’s discuss for a second what is really going on with Claudia Jordan and Kordell Stewart. Given Kordell’s past relationship with Porsha Williams, the internet of course exploded the moment that these two characters started to really spend some time together on this past episode of the show. Was there any flirtation going on? If there was on his end, Claudia insists that it was subtle.

In a new entry on her Bravo blog, Claudia makes it clear that most of her relationship with Kordell comes out of respect, working on sports-related shows for many years and feeling like he was a trailblazer as a black quarterback in the NFL. Also, she explained that there is nothing going on between the two of them:

“When we met, I of course knew who he was. We exchanged info, chatted a few times, and became platonic friends. He never even really hit on me and was a complete gentleman. I’d see him here and there at events, and that was it. I saw him at a radio show, a party, etc. We just always had a mutual respect for one another. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Is this still a story worth watching the rest of the season? Sure, but the editors do at times tend to make mountains out of molehills.
