‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4: New poster all about Ursula, Maleficent, Cruella

Just in case you were even remotely uncertain as to where “Once Upon a Time” was going to go in the way of promotion for season 4, the poster below makes it pretty darn clear: The Queens of Darkness really are going to be center stage for everything that is coming up.

This poster was shared both on Tumblr (see the link below) and on the official Twitter page. It’s rather stylish, and while we have no idea what angle these women would have to be standing at in order to make this photo work, we are still a rather big fan of it. At this point, the show probably knows that the devoted fans are probably going to watch anyway. Therefore, it makes no real sense for them to feature the likes of Emma, Mary Margaret, or any other regular on here. They instead need to appeal to new fans.

If there is any issue that we have here at all, it largely revolves around the series’ decision to seemingly hype up certain characters despite their past history on the show. We’re still not entirely sure how Maleficent even exists right now, given what we saw happen to her in the past. Also, what’s with the makeover to make her look a whole lot more like the “Sleepy Beauty” character all of a sudden? Ursula being recast is not as big a deal, given that Yvette Nicole Brown never played the part in physical form in the first place.

Of course, we are going to have more news as we get closer to that March 1 return. Let’s just hope that these three ladies help to live up to the hype.
