‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 12 preview: How Kitty and Sherlock meet

ElementaryThursday night is going to put many issues for Kitty Winter into perspective on “Elementary,” and in addition to that, there is also one other thing that you can expect: A further look back into how she and Holmes met in the first place.

The first reaction we have in watching the video below is that Kitty eight months ago in London was clearly not the sort of person who had an easy time trusting. As a matter of fact, she greets Sherlock Holmes by pointing a knife at him on the other side of a door. Hardly an easy way to make friends, isn’t it? We also learn in here that she is working as a transcriber, which has to be one of the most lonely ways imaginable that someone can make for themselves. Holmes could be here to change all of that, but she does not quite realize it in full during the scene.

Instead, she listens more to Jonny Lee Miller’s character as he explains to her in detail about some of what his plans are for her in order to help her out, and eventually, he manages to get her to open up the door.

We ultimately feel like this may be the episode that we’ve been needing for some time in order to properly understand this Kitty character better. It is with this in mind that we really do wish that the storyline we have this week was actually introduced a while ago. It may have helped the character out.
