‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki in ‘Halt and Catch Fire’

For some reason, we find ourselves even more excited about the February 10 episode of “Supernatural” (entitled “Halt and Catch Fire”) than most. It does not necessarily have anything to do with the major story of the Mark of Cain, or seemingly bring back any characters who have recurred over the years.

Instead, what we have here seems to just be a really cool monster-of-the-week story. For one, the title reminds us of one of our favorite shows at the moment, and any reference to it is something we’re going to get behind. Sam and Dean are going to be dealing with quite a ghost story, but one that is a little different than most. After all, this ghost seems to have some sort of control on electricity.

“A ghost starts killing people through various electronic devices. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover who was killed and why this ghost is seeking revenge on a group of college students but what they can’t figure out is how he’s doing it. With three dead, the brothers must stop the ghost before he claims his next victim.”

Sometimes, a simple story is best, and when we go back and look at old “Supernatural” episodes, we find the majority of the time that the ones we really enjoy more than any others are the ones that feature the brothers taking on cool, interesting adversaries. Also, we like to re-watch the ones that are stuffed full of humor.

Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to discuss this one further as we get closer to it airing.
