‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: More on Cruella de Vil!

Cruella -While we suppose every single one of the Queens of Darkness on “Once Upon a Time” is very interesting in their own right, we’d by lying here if we acted like we’re interested in them equally. Cruella de Vil was one of the most iconic villains in Disney lore, but the show is going to have to present a very different side of the character since the Enchanted Forest is a very different sort of origin story.

It is with this in mind that we find out the following from co-creator Edward Kitsis. Speaking to ET Online, he explained that there is something so much different and exciting that comes from their portrayal of the character (played by Victoria Smurfit on the show):

“Cruella will be really nothing like the movie … There will be some touchstones in the spirit of her character, but in our world she has powers and she’ll be much more than the ’50s Cruella in the move.”

Our general feeling at the moment is that she is going to be an interesting, conniving villain, and someone who relies a little more on their cunning skills a little more so than just pure magic. After all, unless the show just decides to maker her extremely overpowered, there is no logical reason to think that she is going to be anywhere near on the same level of magical skill as Maleficent in particular.

Sadly, you are going to have to Sunday, March 1 to see more of her in action, There will likely be a spotlight episode for her during the season, but it may be a few weeks after that when you see it.
