‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 17 video: Emily, Talia face off

What is with one of the new faces in Rosewood? We’re still trying to figure that one out, as well. Talia arrived on “Pretty Little Liars” earlier this winter, and she is quickly clashing with some of the other women.

Namely, the sneak peek below shows her and Emily getting at it while on the job, as Shay Mitchell’s character starts to think that she is moving a little bit too much into the territory of Aria when it comes to Ezra. In the process of telling her to back off, Emily also makes it clear that she is a lesbian. We’re not entirely sure what to make of this clip, and that is largely because we are not entirely sure what to make of the Talia character as a whole right now.

Are we supposed to believe that Talia could eventually be a new Emily love interest? It’s hard to say, since her interest seems to be more with a man in this preview. Also, we don’t want to see Emily together with someone else so quickly after Paige departed. It would almost cheapen everything that they had together, and the last thing we want to cancel out all hope for them moving forward. After all, Marlene King didn’t kill Paige off, and so long as someone is breathing, we like to think that they still have a shot at coming back.
