‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 10 video: Exec on Danny Brickwell ‘trilogy,’ ambitious plans

Arrow -Just in case you are really wondering what Wednesday night’s “Arrow” episode is going to look like, we can get a better sense of it in the sneak peek video below rather than anything else that we have seen so far.

For one, this clip reminds us of what happened to Oliver Queen, but it also features executive producer Marc Guggenheim talking a little bit about how there is going to be a “trilogy” structure in a way to what is coming up. The show is getting ready to introduce a new villain in Danny “Brick” Brickwell (Vinnie Jones), and he will be appearing over the course of the next three episodes. In a way, it makes sense that this would be a good time for another villain to appear. If Oliver is presumed dead, then there is not really that big of a need to feature Ra’s al Ghul for the time being. He has zero motivation to continue attacking Starling City now.

Meanwhile, Malcolm Merlyn has his own agenda that also involves Ra’s, and with that, his work with the city could also be done for a time.

The struggle for Diggle, Felicity, Roy, and Laurel (preparing to be the Black Canary) is figuring out how they can propel themselves forward against this villain, especially without their fearless leader around to help with both strategy and taking out the bad guys.

We love Stephen Amell and his character, but this should be a pretty fun experiment to see how the show handles such a big change. We’re going to get a real sense of that for the next few weeks.
