‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 13 preview: When will Michael Weatherly, cast return to CBS?
If there is something that we have learned about CBS over the past several years, it is that they are not the biggest fans in the world of airing new programming in late January. Instead, they like to hold off until February before they really start to show you the bulk of their content.
When it comes to “NCIS,” this is precisely what is happening. There is no new episode of the show airing next week, or really the week after that. Instead, you are going to see the series on the air again starting in early February, and it is really then that you will have the first of a number of consecutive installments. This will hopefully be the opportunity to see the story play out precisely as you want it to, and for you to see further scoop on Michael Weatherly, Mark Harmon, and the rest of the cast’s many adventures.
So when will there be some specific information available on these? We would assume that either later this week or early next week, CBS will start to make a few things a little more clear. Typically, this is when the network starts to lift the veil a little bit, and that should mark an opportunity for us to see more where the story is going. We especially liked the action in “Check,” and hope that it is something that carries on moving forward.
As always, we want to be your one-stop source for all things “NCIS.” Therefore, we’ll have more more soon.

I’m waiting to see how the Sergei storyline plays out. This is one baddie whose ass I hope gets kicked but good. Since there is a connection to Ari Haswari and possibly Ziva it will be interesting to see if they use any connections from previous seasons to tie it all up. With Cote indicating in a recent interview while promoting “The Dovekeepers” that “a return is possible under the right circumstances” (her words, not mine) it will be interesting to see whether she’ll make a guest appearance or not and how that would be used to finish the storyline. I don’t pay attention to stats or how many eps a season has as long as the storylines are tied up well. Although as we well know with NCIS they have a habit with the exception of last season leaving us with a burning cliff hanger for the next season. That is the thing that has kept me hooked to NCIS this long.

Actually, the January thing is true more often than not. but Season 7 had three eps in January, the last on the 26th. Season 10 also had three episodes in January, the last on the 29th. A better rule is that there will usually be one episode in December right about the middle of the month. Season 10 broke that rule, there were 3 eps in December. There is also the “absence makes the heart grow fonder” rule that if there is a break of 2 weeks or longer, usually there will be a bump in viewership when it returns. Season 11 broke that rule miserably. Between episode 14 and 15 there was a 2 week break but when it returned, there was about a 2.5 million drop in viewership from which the show never recovered for the rest of the season. I’m getting older and doing number stuff helps keep my brain sharp. Math is all about patterns. I love it!
