‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 4 preview: Lisbon tries to be … Jane?

For all of those who love Jane and Lisbon, Sunday night’s new episode of “The Mentalist” looks to be a fun one. Why? When Patrick Jane goes out of commission due to an illness, it is up to Lisbon to try and figure out how to still use some of his skills.

Lo and behold, this involves Lisbon pretending to be a psychic in order to help solve cases. In a new video sneak peek over at TVLine, we learn that Jane is going to be educating Lisbon, while looking at a video feed, as to how to best use some of his “abilities.” This is a chance for the two to really put their relationship to the test, and also to see if Jane really can be any good at letting someone else have a little bit of control for a change.

Do you really think that he is going to be capable of doing this? Don’t worry, because we have our doubts, as well. Letting someone else have control is not something that we would consider to be a Jane specialty in the slightest.

In addition to this storyline, Sunday’s “Black Market” is also going to focus on Abbott’s personal life, as he starts to worry about whether or not something in his past could in turn cause chaos for his wife’s future. She is on the cusp of getting a big promotion within the ranks of the United States government.
