NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale: The future for Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison

Matt -We are a few days removed now from “The Voice” season 7 ending, but it is in many ways still a new beginning for some of the contestants. Not only that, but this is a chance to find out whether or not either Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison, or any other contestant are going to land some sort of career long-term.

Per a new interview from NJ.com, we already know that Matt has spent some time this week in New York, hoping to sign a record deal. Given how high “Take Me to Church,” “Wasted Love,” and “The Blower’s Daughter” all charted on iTunes, the guy is probably going to get some sort of opportunity. We legitimately believe that Chris will, as well, given his iTunes rankings, his swagger, and his pop-friendly style.

Now, we just have to wonder what “The Voice” as a show is going to do for some of these singers. They have been the target of criticism for not really giving their artists the best chances possible to succeed after their shows, and we really believe that to be true after this past season. Remember here that this season, RaeLynn was one of the few artists from past seasons to actually turn up. There was not even any love given to Josh Kaufman, the reigning champ from last season. We know that he was busy doing “Pippin” on Broadway, but still.

Do you think there is a chance this season that some people are going to have big careers away from “The Voice”?
