‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Can Kara Wilson coach Chris Soules on love?

Kara -Our latest “Bachelor” spotlight has a somewhat-sporty edge to it, at least in that we are talking about a high school soccer coach by the name for Kara Wilson. Can she be a serious contender to steal Chris Soules’ heart? That may be her goal, but she’s going to need to play a very offensive game first! (Okay, we’ll quit with the soccer puns now.)

We feel like Kara could make some waves in this competition, but she’s also another one of those contestants who we don’t know if she will make a big enough impression night one to be able to stick around. Think of her as a toss-up for now.

Age – 25

Hometown – Brownsville, Kentucky.  She comes from a town of around 1,000 people close to Mammoth Cave. Basically, she can really relate to Chris about small-town life almost better than anyone. Also, you could make the drive to Iowa in a day, provided that you got up early and you didn’t make a whole lot of stops.

Occupation – High school soccer coach. We’re guessing that she doesn’t teach in Brownsville, given that we’re not sure there are enough people there for an actual soccer team. Still, it’s a job that she could do anywhere, and it is one that could be useful on the show for attention. (We’ll be shocked if there is no random soccer-playing in the premiere.)

Bio highlights – We know from both her bio and her social media page that she loves Jesus and is a devout Christian, and that is something that could be an interesting story. We don’t know how religious Chris is; even Christians have different variations of how devout they are. It could be a point of attraction, or intimidating depending.

Also, Kara really loves cookies. If this doesn’t work out, maybe Marquel would be interested?

Positives – Kara seems to be down-to-earth, outdoorsy, fun-loving, and loves working with young people. Basically, all of these seem to be things that Chris is looking for! On paper, she has a lot in common with him, and we feel like she would fit in to his world pretty well.

Negatives – What we mentioned earlier about religion could be a negative, but could also be a positive. It all depends mostly on Chris. Other than that, though, there is really nothing about her that is a glaring red flag, except that she may be overshadowed by some other women on the first night, and we’re not sure if she will stand out enough.

Prediction – Kara could win this show. She has a lot of the attributes to do it, and there is a Kacie-like quality to her. However, we don’t see her as someone being kept around for drama, which puts her in that category of “she’ll either go early, or last for a while.”
