‘Ink Master: Rivals’ season 5, episode 14 review: Was Cleen Rock One, Cris Element eliminated before final four?

Ink MasterWe only have a few episodes left of “Ink Master: Rivals” and Cleen Rock One is a runaway train to win this season, making this a little bit less exciting since there’s no one there that’s really giving him a challenge.

Tonight, the elimination bell tolled for Cris Element, who became the latest artist eliminated from the season and right before the final four (which has to be a pretty rough time for anyone to leave). In the end, though, he still does not have a whole lot to be upset about here. He had the least amount of experience of anything left, and made it pretty darn far over people who had been working many more years.

Cleen and Mark Longenecker were the winners of the flash challenge, and for Mark in particular, it felt like a pretty good episode from start to finish.

Is there a favorite to win the rest of this season? That’s what we are still trying to figure out! One of the best things about this season has been the unpredictability; even with the elimination tonight, Dave Navarro said online that this one was particularly hard to call. The fact that America still has some sort of role in the live finale (and who knows what America will think?) probably makes this all the more chaotic.

Basically, this season, in between the head-to-heads, the close calls, and of course the drama, has been beyond intense. Now, we just have to see how the story unfolds in the final weeks. Grade: B+.
