‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 9 preview: Carrie, Quinn, and a prisoner exchange

On Sunday night’s “Homeland,” we have something that may in some ways be rather sweet. After all, we’re going to see Quinn wanting to protect Carrie at all costs!

However, at the same time there is a flaw in some of his plans to stay with her: She needs him somewhere else. In the sneak peek video below for this episode, Claire Danes’ character makes it clear to him that she needs for him to stay back in order to deal with the extremely important prisoner exchange.

Despite everything that has happened this season, including quite a few things that Quinn was not happy about that Carrie did, the question about the future for these two still remains. Could they actually be together and have a happy relationship? We understand that there are many out there who ‘ship them, but we really see the problem here being somewhat along the lines of not really knowing if Carrie can really be in a happy relationship with anyone. She just has so great a history now, and the tragedy of Brody has haunted her. You saw a pretty good manifestation of that earlier this season.

There are only a few episodes left of season 4 after this one, so the one thing we feel confident about is that Carrie and Saul will have a few more answers soon. As for Carrie and Quinn beyond work, we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens for at least a little while longer.
