ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 8 video: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and the little things
Earlier this week, “Once Upon a Time in the West” proved to be a heck of a fun episode of “Castle,” and a real opportunity to see what the dynamic for Castle and Beckett would be like now that the two are actually married.
However, it still was not business as usual for the two characters, given that they weren’t in New York, they weren’t with their colleagues, and it was nothing like a typical murder. Monday night’s “Kill Switch” will feature in part a scene that is much more traditional to Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion’s characters, and you can see the first sneak-peek for it right now below.
In the video, it begins with a little fun as Rick gets somewhat sentimental, talking about how this is the first crime scene as a couple that the two have visited. However, they don’t exactly have a whole lot of time to continue thinking about that, given that they have to get to some of the business at hand, including the case. Beckett examines the body, and after hearing the information, is able to make the quick deduction (take that, Sherlock!) that we are dealing with a deliberate murder.
What is somewhat unclear right now is just how this is going to tie back and relate to the other part of “Kill Switch” that we’ve seen a whole lot about, and that is the dangerous subway hostage crisis that we’ve seen Eposito (Jon Huertas) be a part of. You can at least watch another sneak peek of it right here to prepare yourself.

What I would most like to see in the upcoming episode is some seeds being planted to grow and flourish into a new story line (or an improvement in the current one) that will assure continuation of the series for two more seasons. The show runner is teasing some changes in direction of Castle (possibly in the Dec and Feb episodes) that could serve to introduce the new direction (story line?).
