‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 8 preview: Two tiny Mariska Hargitay, Chad Coleman teases

Law & Order: SVU logoIn just over 24 hours from the time in which we are writing this article, “Law & Order: SVU” is going to be back on the air with what we’d consider to be another big episode of the show in “Spousal Privilege.”

We’ve written a bit about this episode already, but in case you missed some of that, here is the basic write-up of the story: Benson (Mariska Hargitay) has to figure out a way to get the wife (Meagan Good) of a popular athlete-turned-broadcaster (Chad Coleman, “The Walking Dead” and “The Wire”) to escape her situation after a video surfaces of his unspeakable actions at a parking garage. Obviously, the Ray Rice case is going to come to mind here, since this show is going to address some of the say questions that the real-life story did.

Still, don’t expect this episode to just be a carbon-copy of real-life events. This is a series that likes to put its own twist on just about everything that it does, and you can see the same here as Benson has to use some of her best skills to convince Good’s character that being with him is not the right choice.

The tiny teases we have for you HERE today are Vines posted by the writers room’s official Twitter account, which is a sentence that we never imagined that we would be saying around five or six years ago. This is a show that is very good at being able to continually find ways to demonstrate online the subject matter of every single case; also, it’s a smart use of hashtags to come up with a new one every episode. Higher odds of it being trending that way.
