‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder face reality

Nina Dobrev -For the final few weeks of “The Vampire Diaries,” we have seen Elena Gilbert try her hand at a rather different sort of mindset, and one that does not have Damon Salvatore at the forefront. Then, tonight she risked losing him the second time.

So what happens when Nina Dobrev’s character could start to realize how she really felt about her great love? That is something that may be at the forefront of the next new episode, though it is going to be difficult with Alaric’s compulsion powers gone.  This story is also going to give you more insight into Tripp’s massive operation, the fate of a few beloved characters, and a little bit that goes beyond that. Want to see some more news in terms of what to expect? Then take a look at the official synopsis below:

“When the past comes back to haunt her, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is forced to face her problems head on. After a night out at the annual Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser, Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) opens up to Alaric (Matt Davis) about her own tragic past. Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) resort to extreme measures when Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson) withholds information about his vampire-killing operation, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is in a race against the clock when Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) gets caught in the middle of a dangerous plan. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) grow closer, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) stumbles upon a startling clue that renews his hope.”

Obviously, there is going to be quite a bit of good stuff in this episode, though that may be amplified to another level in the event that you are a hardcore Delena ‘shipper. It at least helps to make up for the Tyler / Liv pairing that we could not care less for at the moment.
