‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 7 preview: On ‘The Snow Queen,’ Elizabeth Mitchell’s Ingrid

Tonight’s “Once Upon a Time” season 4 episode was quite the adventure, but it also did not give us all of the information that we wanted when it comes to our current “big bad” character in the Snow Queen / Ingrid.

Well, the fact that next week’s episode is entitled “The Snow Queen” should provide us with a little more insight into what she is truly up to, and how dangerous she could be to everyone in Storybrooke. We can at least figure out a little more when it comes to information all about where she has come from, and some of what brought her to this place.

While we are excited to see this story, we are still having a very hard time shaking that feeling that the show is really just repeating the same storyline time and time again when it comes to family. There is always someone in the villain role who at the end of the day, really just wants to be loved and cared for. This was the case with Peter Pan, just like it was the case with Zelena. Now, we have the Snow Queen at the center of it. We know that this particular team seems to think that these villains are more interesting than the standard bad guys we’ve seen on other shows, but we would actually like to see someone who is just evil for evil’s sake.

Then again, maybe we do have that in Rumpelstiltskin … sometimes.
