‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 4 video: Will Emily Kinney’s Beth survive ‘Slabtown’?
There must not be a whole lot harder to imagine on “The Walking Dead” than seeing a populated, urban area for a change. In a way, that is what makes the sneak peek video below of Sunday night’s “Slabtown” all the more interesting to us. There are few opportunities that you get to even imagine that there are people still living in these cities!
Yet, here is Beth, and Emily Kinney’s character is going to be in a world that is somewhat horrifying, but at the same time hopeful. While she’s not safe and she could be subject to some terrible things, she may uncover that not everyone where she is happens to be 100% horrible. She just has to find some of the good people.
Is either the doctor or the police officer one of the good guys? We’re willing to bet “no,” since the first people you see after you wake up in some bizarre hospital with a working clock very rarely are. (Specific, we know, but still.)
Regardless of what happens to Beth here, there are some people coming to her rescue. They just have to figure out exactly where she is, how to help her, and if she can come out of this alive.
There are really two different ways that we see this going:
- She dies, and it is another great piece of tragedy to add to what Maggie has gone through on the show already after losing Hershel.
- She lives, and becomes a key part of the group again. She also has a tight bond with Daryl now, which she did not have previously.
