‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Stephen Amell on big surprise during ‘Flash’ crossover
There are many specific episodes to look forward to during the rest of “Arrow” season 3, but one episode in particular should be marked on your calendar: The eighth one. This is when we’re going to cross over between this show and “The Flash,” which has been killing it so far this season in the ratings.
We wondered for a while about how this crossover would be constructed. Namely, we wondered if you would understand at all what was going on if you were an “Arrow” viewer only, and you don’t bother ever checking out “The Flash.” Based on what we are hearing right now, it seems like you’re really going to need to see both shows. This is great for fans of both, but probably not for those who only watch one of the two.
Speaking to TVLine, Stephen Amell said something very interesting in that one of the biggest moments for “Arrow” actually comes during the “Flash” portion of the episode:
“I can’t tell you anything about it other than it relates to Central City — and when I saw it in the Flash script, it ended up being actually quite gratifying … [Director of photography] Glen Winter said it was his favorite thing I’ve been involved in so far on the show.”
Isn’t that quite a tease? Given that we’re also talking here about the DP, we hope that it is visually one of the coolest things that we’ve seen to date.
After this crossover, we only have one episode seemingly to go until we get to the midseason finale, so hopefully the show is preparing already to give us something outstanding.
