‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Talking ‘What’s behind the door’ and more
“The Blacklist” has definitely spent a great deal of time so far in the second season bringing attention to that door the past couple of episodes … and on the upcoming episode Monday, we’re finally going to have a chance to see what is on the other side.
As we discussed in our most-recent podcast for the show, we do ultimately feel like the most-likely answer to this question is Tom Keen. This is not the answer that we want for a pair of reasons:
- It’s so obvious. This is a twist that almost everyone can see coming from a mile away.
- It changes the Liz character so much. We know that she’s dark, but there’s a difference between being “dark,” and then holding a man hostage, even if he did terrible things to you.
Some other theories include that this could be where she is tracking information on Reddington, or merely compiling her own secret information on Tom’s whereabouts. To us, the biggest reason we’d say that there is not a person behind the door is simply that it’d be hard to keep someone like Tom a prisoner, even a weaker version.
Regardless of whoever it is, the one thing that we know right now is that this is not something Liz wants anyone to know about, including Reddington or anyone else at the FBI. This is ultra top-secret material we’re talking about here.
