‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Nina Dobrev as Tatia

When the second season of “The Originals” progresses into the November sweeps, you are going to see the arrival of one character in particular who will have people talking: Tatia.

Nina Dobrev is coming over to the show for a one-episode arc as the character, who, per the photo coming to us via E! News, could very well be a part of a hair metal band.

In all seriousness, the significance of Tatia should go without saying to those who previously saw her story play out on “The Vampire Diaries.” She is a significant part of Klaus and Elijah’s past, as she was a woman that both men loved so many years ago. She is the originator of the Petrova line of doppelgangers, which also ties her story to Elena in the present.

In addition to all of this, remember that Tatia also draws a parallel between Klaus and Elijah and Damon and Stefan in the present. With all this being said, it’s pretty clear that neither Joseph Morgan nor Daniel Gillies’ characters eventually won her hear on “The Originals.”

Luckily, there is some hope for the two to have romance in the present, albeit in some very different forms than what we originally saw from them in the past. Elijah potentially has Hayley out there, though it does not appear the two will be hooking up anytime soon. As for Klaus, he’s a tricky guy since anyone he loves would probably end up being killed. However, there are some who ‘ship him with Cami, or of course Caroline on “The Vampire Diaries.”
