Is ‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 11 new tonight on AMC, or does wait continue?

For the second straight week, we’re back answering what is a frequently-asked question at the moment regarding “Hell on Wheels,” and whether or not you’re going to have a chance to finally watch the eleventh episode of season 4. We have a small schedule in our sidebar, but it’s typically for broadcast TV only and it doesn’t include Saturdays, anyway.

Unfortunately, you’re still waiting this week if you want to see the rest of Cullen Bohannon’s journey. Heck, you’re going to be waiting both next week and the week after. If you’ve missed it, the show’s return date is listed as Saturday, November 8 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Basically, if you tune into AMC tonight, you are going to get a series of “Tremors” movies that are not anywhere near what you were expecting if you were hoping for “Hell on Wheels” to come back on the air.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve started to come around on this decision to have the show air its final episodes next month. At first, we hated it, mostly because it kept us from getting to see the ending of the story, and hiatuses are typically not a good thing for a show hoping to keep its ratings strong.

However, here’s another way to look at it. November is a key month for networks  when it comes to sweeps, and having “Hell on Wheels” as a part of it could be a vote of confidence that this is a show that AMC wants in their arsenal for a little while. We challenged the network already this week to renew the show, and we’re standing by that given the success that it has had in a very difficult timeslot.

For now, we leave you with the tiniest of teases below via executive producer John Wirth. At least this does give you something great to look forward to while you wait to see what happens next.
