‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Series finale begins filming

The latest -If there was ever a time to start getting truly emotional about “Sons of Anarchy,” this would be it. What’s the reason for that? Well, it all comes down to the simple fact that today marks the beginning of the end, at least in the form of filming for the series finale.

Creator Kurt Sutter shared the proof of this milestone on his Instagram page last night, with it being very clear (as if you didn’t know already) that he is both writing and directing this final chapter.

Obviously, there are many questions that come into this finale, and many of them probably stem from the story of Hamlet than anything else. Since Sutter has been open about the inspiration and the Shakespeare influences in the past, there is probably an assumption that the show will end this same way. We don’t necessarily feel that this is true. We don’t feel like everyone has to die on the show in order for the same impact to be had. For some characters, there really are a fate that is out there worse than death, and the story could be written in a way that makes this possible.

More than who dies and who survives, the challenge with the finale is finding a way to be true to all of these characters, and the long journey that we’ve been on here since the beginning. It would be too easy for Jax to feel no more consequences of his actions, but at the same time, we understand if you want someone in his life, whether it is Abel or a member of the club, to find some sort of happiness.

All in all, we want the ending to be worth the journey; we feel like the show’s legacy is already intact, but this could be the icing on the cake.
