‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: The latest on ‘final season’ chatter

Is “Hart of Dixie” really going to be ending after its upcoming fourth season? This has been a tense subject of conversation over the past few days, largely sparked by messages from Wilson Bethel and Scott Porter that strongly hint that there will not be many more adventures in BlueBell, Alabama moving forward.

Well, what we know for now is that the news is not official, but in the eyes of many, it may as well be. According to TVLine, there is no official word from The CW on the show’s future, but the season 4 finale was written as a possible series finale in the event that the ratings dictated that this would be the end of the road. They are therefore preparing for the fact that the show will not get renewed … which is probably a pretty smart move.

What we feel is going to happen here is something similar in a way to “Psych,” where around halfway through the final episodes airing they will somehow announce that we’ve reached the end of the road when it comes to the show. Since a proper finale has been aired here, all of the “final season” promotion can still work really well. We’re somewhat sad that this could be the end, but at the same time grateful that the show thought ahead. The ratings are not great here, and we’d much prefer getting a proper series finale than a cliffhanger ending that never amounted to anything. we’ve seen that play out on far too many shows already.

While you may be understandably sad about this show, there is still some news coming out right now about other things the cast is currently working on. For example, Wilson Bethel is working on a new ABC series, and we’re sure that other actors will land some new gigs soon.
