‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 4 spoilers: A sorcerer in ‘The Apprentice’

Back during the early going on “Once Upon a Time” season 4, we had a reference to something that we never imagined would be a part of the ABC show: “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” This short film eventually became a terrible Nicolas Cage Disney film, but before that, it was one of the most beloved parts of “Fantasia.” It also was an iconic feature of Mickey Mouse back during the early days.

Well, the show is clearly going to further its own version of this story on “The Apprentice” Sunday. The title is proof somewhat of that, but what may be equally interesting is that Rumpelstiltskin and Anna from “Frozen” may be playing the Mickey role together. Just take a look at the synopsis below for more on that, along with what Hook decides to do in an effort to impress Emma:

“After Emma asks Hook out on a real first date, Hook visits Mr. Gold and asks for his hand to be reattached so that he can embrace her with both hands. But magic always comes with a price. Henry and Mary Margaret try to offer hope to Regina when she becomes frustrated over not being able to find a cure to save a frozen Marian, and Will Scarlet attempts to break into the Storybrooke library to find a special book. Meanwhile, back in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Rumplestiltskin is after a magical box that the Sorcerer’s apprentice is guarding, and he may use Elsa’s sister Anna to help him get it.”

While this apprentice story is much to vague to really discuss, we do hope that this story is largely a lesson to Hook that he can be loved just as much even if he has a hook for a hand. Plus, we’re not sure that you ever want to owe Rumple a favor in a million years. Terrible things happen when you do.
