‘CBS’ ‘CSI: Las Vegas’ season 15, episode 3 review: Sara, Greg are exposed to deadly virus

The mystery behind Jared Briscoe and his “recently discovered” twin brother Paul has been front and center on this season of “CSI: Las Vegas” and has also been surely haunting Russell’s nightmares. He may have put Jared on death row based more on revenge rather then proof and the killer seems to still be on the streets. If this is all exposed, this could mean real trouble for Russell, unless he can find a way to prove that the brothers were working together…. but he is running out of time.

Julie is still looking through hospital records and doing foster home searches to find out more about the brothers, but without a birthday, she’s really looking for a needle in a haystack trying to find out more about them.

When Sara and Greg are exposed to a what looks to be a deadly virus (much like Ebola with a fatality rate of 80%) they are immediately put into quarantine. The crime scene reveals a dead body (male) which not only has a gun shot wound, but also was infected with the virus – meaning that whoever shot this man may also be infected and is out in the world doing who knows what.

When they find the killer, he is infected and dying from the virus. They put him in quarantine and start asking questions in hopes of finding a cure for this and a way  to save Greg and Sara – things get even more intense when Sara ‘s fever spikes, but she still tests negative for the virus. So did Sara and Greg make it out okay? They are more then fine as it turns out the virus dies within two hours of hitting the air and they were never really at risk.

We have seen viral outbreaks on crime shows done over and over, so if you’re going to tackle this subject, we want to see something new brought to the table and not more of the same old. Episode grade: C-
