‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 2 video: Candice Accola’s Caroline, Enzo reunite

“The Vampire Diaries” started out last week with a story that featured many of the main characters all separated from one another for various reasons. Supernatural creatures are not in Mystic Falls, Stefan is out trying to create a new life, and Elena and Alaric are off at Whitmore College trying to move forward with the rest of their lives.

Now, we turn to Enzo. He wasn’t a part of the premiere, but he and Caroline are going to be spending at least a little bit of time together on Thursday night’s new episode “Yellow Ledbetter.” In the new sneak peek video below via The CW, you can get an idea of what we’re talking about here. Basically, it feels like Candice Accola’s character was somewhat duped into a road trip, and she is now heading to an unknown destination.

We are interested in seeing where Enzo fits in now with the rest of the cast, given that through most of last season, our feeling was more that this was just a guy who would be turning up for a few guest appearances prior to getting killed off. However, that has clearly changed now, and he is pretty firmly a part of the show. We just have to wait and see now where the story will take him, and if he and Caroline could ever forge a deeper connection. (For now, it appears that the person Enzo is closest to romancing is a coat-check girl, judging from the content of this sneak peek.)
