‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: Series boss on early plans, ‘desert wolf’ story

“Teen Wolf” season 4 just ended on MTV last night, so it would almost certainly be understandable if we saw some of the writers trying to take a break for a little while.

If they did that, though, it may have already happened! Jeff Davis and company are already thinking about some early ideas for the show next season, and they could involve further playing into some of the mysteries and mythologies that we’ve already started to see take shape on the show. Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Davis went as far as to explain some of what he thinking about for the show moving forward:

“Well, we have an idea for next season. We love those complicated mythologies. I’m a huge fan of Lost, and I’m the kind of person who likes a lot of mystery, the kind of mystery where not everything is always explained. I love the fact that people theorize about the show and come up with their own ideas, so we’ll see what happens.”

One other thing that you can definitely expect to see a whole lot more of? The whole “desert wolf” story, which was not resolved really at all during season 4.

In looking back as a whole, we feel like season 4 was far and away better than the second half of season 3, mostly in that it told a story that was ultimately not too hard to follow, but still exciting since there was such a history with many of the characters together. Now, we just have to see if that momentum can last and carry over.
