‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: What comes next for Joss, Harry, and Savi now?
“Mistresses” season 2 ended with a series of dramatic notes, but the one that will probably get the most attention right now (and understandably so) was the oceanside make-out session that took place with Joss and Harry, right after she ran away from her spontaneous wedding with Scott.
There are obviously many separate issues and implications when it comes to this scene. For one, you have a groom-to-be who is going to be none too pleased about the fact that she he was left at the altar. Not only that, but you’ve also got a woman in Savi who is going to feel potentially a little betrayed given her own past with Harry. These are issues that are still in the air, but when it comes to whether or not Savi and Joss’ friendship will be completed decimated if a season is ordered, executive producer K.J. Steinberg was somewhat ambivalent in a chat with TVLine:
“It remains to be seen. We’re not saying that just because you’re in love makes betrayal OK. We’re saying it makes it risky and complicated and has the potential to cause a lot of pain. But at the same time Savi has been all over the place. She threw Harry away in the most humiliating and heartless of ways. She hasn’t looked back. She betrayed Dom. She has shown herself to be a lost soul when it comes to matters of the heart. And so in a way you can understand how Joss thought her sister was really done — really, really done. And it’s not like she’s sleeping with her sister’s husband. She’s sleeping with the man who her sister discarded.”
There are obviously still other stories that need to be addressed, as well, including whatever Karen is going through now that she is HIV-negative, and also whether or not April hiding the truth about Peter was the right decision.
