Can we stop with Lindsay Lohan – ‘Dancing with the Stars’ rumors?
It seems almost hysterical at this point that we are continually discussing Lindsay Lohan and “Dancing with the Stars,” mostly because at this point believing in these rumors is starting to be the equivalent of believing in aliens. We hear about them almost every season, and yet for some reason they never actually come to fruition.
Before we do anything else, we should just mention why they keep coming up: Because Lindsay seems almost tailor-made to be a contestant. She has significant ties to parent company Disney, was at one point a big star, and this could be a way to improve her image, establish a routine, make connections, and also make money at the same time. The reason that these rumors keep on starting is because everyone assumes that one day, they will be true.
However, we’re starting to really doubt she will ever appear, mostly because she hasn’t already despite multiple opportunities. Maybe Lindsay is in the camp that doing the show is something of a last resort for her, or it would actually hurt her career. She’s also gotten away from most of the paparazzi since being in London, and maybe she prefers it this one.
One thing we are pretty sure of? That the rumors this year are more bogus than ever. HollywoodLife “claims” that producers really want Lohan, but believe it is about a 10% chance that she will ever sign on. We feel like the odds are significantly lower than that, mostly due to the fact that she has a production coming up in London’s theater community. It’s almost impossible to think she could balance two schedules in two completely different countries.
Let’s shelve this rumor for now; after all, we’re sure that it will come up again for discussion in a few months for the spring season.
