‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 premiere: The most awkward Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal photo yet?

The September 9 premiere of “Sons of Anarchy” is creeping ever closer to being here, and we have our first photo proof that either the show is doing something rare and flashing back, or that Jax Teller will be spending some time out of jail before the extended episode comes to a close.

The network just released the attached photo above, and this one clearly shows that Charlie Hunnam’s character has himself in quite the precarious position having to stand before his mother, not knowing that she is the one responsible for murdering Tara. Meanwhile, Wendy has obviously decided that she needs to get involved in raising the children again, even though she is just starting to come off some hard times, as well. (Expect plenty of Drea de Matteo this season, given that she is now a series regular.)

In addition to all of this, the good news for Jax is that he will also spend some more time with SAMCRO before the episode ends. Given the revenge the guy has on his mind, the likes of Chibs, Tig, Bobby, and more are in for one wild ride here. Their leader will be uninhibited, and that cannot be a very good thing for anyone else or their odds for survival.

There is clearly one person who is missing in all of these photos, and we’ll let you speculate on who that is.
