MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: A nice (and new) Matty tease

In just under a month on September 23, “Awkward” will be back to finish up season 4 on MTV … and it looks already like the show is going to be preparing to give you some major revelations and big stories from start to finish.

For one of these stories in particular, the show will touch on a very important topic: whether or not you are going to see Matty start to understand more of who he is really is, and where exactly he comes from. Speaking per E! News, executive producer Mike Chessler offered up the following on this subject:

“Matty is going to continue his quest to get answers about his biological parents and childhood … And he may actually meet one of his biological parents.”

Will this be a great season? So far, we’re betting on it at least being a nice step in the right direction. The first trailer brought us a suggestion that Jenna and Matty could be back together, and that the Eva drama may have a pinnacle at some point in the near future.

The only thing that remains a mystery for the time being? Whether or not we are going to see the series start to make suggestions that the end is here. Not to be doom-and-gloom, but we worry anytime that a show is about high school, and most of the characters are in their senior years looking towards the future. Graduation is coming at some point, right?
